Climate Changes
As many as you know, the planet has a climate a lot different than 10 years ago. We all know that humans have a big factor in it but, how much really? For us, a lot.
Today is end of November of 2008, we are in Toronto/Canada. The weather here is crazy to us as we already had few centimeters of snow. Outside looks like end of December.
Here in Canada the temperature is cooler than usual (2008), I keep close contact with many people in Brazil and they say over there it is warmer and warmer every year so, we believe that the weather is just the extremer... cold is colder and warm is warmer.
One way to see how climate changes is to keep record is to look at the growth of the rings of an old tree. The wider is the ring, the warmer was the summer. When a neighbor cut a tree close to your home, go take a look at the rings of the tree.
Man for sure is the one accelerating the entire "get hot" process but also the earth is slowing moving closer and closer to the sun (which is growing). This process is called Milankovitch cycles. One Milankovitch cycle is 21,000 years on axis and 40,000 on axis tilts. A third is the way its orbit gets more or less oval shaped every 96,000 years.
Climate may also be affected by sunspots (dark patches in the Sun) which happens every 11 years and are related to stormy weather on Earth.
Climate cools down when the air is filled with dusk from volcanic eruptions or from meteors hitting us. It warms up when certain gases increase (global warming).
That is not even counting the local weather changes as people cuts tree, change rivers and mountains.
