Plyometrics - week 3


Today was Plyo day and darn!

I started very well but after 15 minutes or so energy levels went bye-bye. Basically was a struggle until the end after that.

Today I got just the protein drink so, as nothing else was changed, I know now that my body-core power is nothing compare to 10 years ago... but I will keep on trying.

Tonight I discovered something interesting and what might explain why I'm not losing fat.

Here is a bit of GNC protein composition:
- 2 scoops;
- 33g whey protein;
- 370 calories;
- 20g of fat;
- 3g of fibre;
- 310mg of potassium;

I know that since teen, potassium causes a wow factor on my muscles but I guess all of the above together is more what my body is used to handle... specially prior to working out.

Tomorrow is shoulder and arms... I will drink because there is not much running around but Sunday is Yoga X and I will not drink the protein power prior to work out.

I saw something interesting on Shopppers Drug Mart:
- 2 scoops;
- 38 g whey protein;
- 170 calories;
- 0.5 g fat;

So, as soon as my GNC finish, that is first on my list as the amount of fat and calories are a lot lower.

Another interesting thing is that I put some more weight on each dumbbell is it 13 kilos (or 28.6 pounds) on each hand. That is quite heavy as I'm afraid to hurt shoulders but it feels home for 8-10 reps on most exercises. I haven't done leg with those yet but fingers crossed. Again, I can see more and more muscle but the fat % is still winning.
